A dead dairy farmer, a high-maintenance author, and an amateur sleuth on the case. When bookstore owner Harvey Beckett wanders into the local farm-to-table shop, she isn’t expecting to stumble over the body of the neighborhood’s most-reviled farmer by the ice cream cooler. Soon, she finds herself embroiled in the hunt for his murderer, even when it puts her and her beloved hound Mayhem right in the path of a runaway combine. Harvey can’t let her sleuthing distract her too much though because she has her bookshop’s first author event to manage. It’s good a certain handsome mechanic is willing to lend a hand.
