The X-Men’s trip back to Earth, using Deathbird’s starship, goes awry and the team winds up to a seemingly alien planet, separated from each other. Gambit wakes up only to confront the bounty hunters known as Spat and Grovel. Despite being his friends and partners once, they both treat him cruelly, on account of past events, and even bind him with ropes, revealing that they were hired to capture him and deliver him to their employer.
