The reporter’s editors encourage her to dig into Chatham’s quirky residents and ghost stories. To get a flavor of old Cape Cod and its maritime legends, she makes a nighttime visit to Monomoy Point Lighthouse with a young charter boat captain. In the process she stumbles tragically into a dark mystery that forces her to question her sanity and the truth buried in a legend.
